Poster Presentation Guidelines

Poster Format & Size

Size: A1 (59.4 cm x 84.1 cm) is recommended; do not exceed 1m x 1m (whiteboard size).

Material: Matt finish preferred (reduces glare from lighting).

Text:

  • Title: 50 pt minimum (clear and visible from 1-2 feet).
  • Body text: 25 pt minimum (easy to read from a distance).
  • Fonts: Arial or Times New Roman, sans serif for headings.
  • Avoid full uppercase or bold paragraphs.

Layout:

  • Use columns, not rows for better readability.
  • Introduction in the upper left, conclusion in the lower right.
  • Use large type in short, separated paragraphs.
  • Figures should be clear, have captions (1-2 lines), and include a legend if needed.
  • Use numbered or bulleted lists to convey points clearly.

Content:

  • No abstract required.
  • Include the title, author names, and affiliations.
  • Display purpose, methods, results, and key takeaways.
  • Highlight both positive and negative aspects of the work.

Photographs:

  • High contrast and sharp focus.
  • Indicate scale where relevant.

Poster Fixing & Display

  • You are responsible for bringing and setting up your poster.
  • Fixing materials: Bring your own; limited supplies available at the Secretariat.
  • Posters will be displayed by topic or theme.
  • Must be removed by the end of the same day.

Poster Award

  • Best Poster Award announced on the last day of the conference.
  • Award presented by the chief guest.
  • Take time to make your poster visually appealing and clear.

E-Poster Guidelines

  • Displayed digitally at the venue and on the website.
  • Single-page with static text and images.
  • Cannot be modified after submission.
  • Use dark backgrounds with light fonts (or vice versa) for readability.
  • Avoid red and green fonts or backgrounds (hard to read).

Virtual Video Presentation

  • Formats: .avi, .mp4, or .flv video recordings OR a PowerPoint with recorded voice.
  • Time limit: 15 minutes.
  • PowerPoint guidelines:
  • .ppt format only.
  • Use Arial or Times New Roman fonts.
  • No slide transitions, animations, or Flash files.
  • Each slide should have an accompanying audio file.

Judging criteria: Originality, Educational value, Presentation quality, and Medium use.

Certification

  • All participants (speakers, poster presenters, and delegates) will receive a certificate of participation.
  • Any changes to name or affiliation must be communicated one month before the conference.
