Language and Presentation Format
• All presentations, questions, and discussions must be in English.
• You will present from a podium or designated area
• The session or workshop chair will introduce you and manage the session.
Presentation format:
- File type: Microsoft PowerPoint™ (.ppt or .pptx).
- Version: Microsoft PowerPoint™ 2010 or later.
- Video files: If applicable, embed videos directly into your PowerPoint™ presentation.
- PC-compatible files only.
Submission:
- Send your presentation in advance and bring a backup copy on a USB drive.
- Upload your presentation to the conference system at least two hours before your session/workshop begins.
Presentation Design Tips
- Use a clean, professional design with clear visuals and minimal text.
Font size:
- Use a minimum of 24pt for readability.
- Titles should be larger and bold for emphasis.
Color scheme:
- Use light text on a dark background or vice versa.
- Avoid overly decorative or complex color schemes.
Slide content:
- Limit each slide to 6–7 bullet points or fewer.
- Use concise sentences—7 words per line, 7 lines per slide is recommended.
- Use graphs, charts, and images to illustrate complex data.
- Avoid footnotes and unfamiliar abbreviations.
Consistency:
- Number your slides for easy reference.
- Keep the content in logical sequence.
Delivery and Interaction
For Oral Presentations
Engage with the audience:
- Make eye contact and avoid reading directly from your slides.
Coordinate with your slides:
- Align your speech with the slide content.
Laser pointer:
- Use purposefully—avoid excessive movement.
• Practice your presentation in advance to ensure smooth delivery and accurate timing.
Stick to the allocated time.
- The session chair will signal when your time is nearly up.
For Workshops
Interactive format:
- Plan for audience participation (Q&A, demonstrations, group activities).
Foster engagement:
- Encourage questions, discussions, and collaboration throughout.
Practical demonstrations:
- If applicable, allocate time for hands-on activities or practical demonstrations.
Q&A sessions:
- Allocate sufficient time for interactive discussions and participant queries.
Technical and Onsite Details
The conference room will be equipped with:
- Projector, screen, laptop, and microphones
- Technical support will be available.
Speaker check-in:
- Meet your session or workshop chair at least 15 minutes before the session begins.
- Provide your name and any pronunciation guidance or details for the introduction.
Technical support:
- Upload your presentation with the technician’s assistance.
- Verify your slides and any embedded media function correctly.
- Communicate any special instructions before your presentation, not during.
- Personal laptops should only be used in unavoidable situations
- No videos will be recorded during the sessions or workshops.
Important Notes
- If you have last-minute updates, bring the revised version on a USB drive and visit the speakers’ preview room.
- Avoid promotional content or advertisements in your presentation or workshop.

- Ensure your slides are visually clear and easy to read from a distance.
Conciseness:
- Keep text brief and use visuals effectively.

- Practice your presentation to stay within the allocated time.
